In an uncharted galaxy on the other side of the universe, there lays a planet unlike any other. Its sun went supernova, leaving behind nothing but an infinitely dense corpse- a black hole. Most planets in the system suffered immensely, being drawn in within the first few minutes of the hole's formation. This fortunate exoplanet, however, was close enough to the pit to sustain life from the powerful radiation, but far enough away that it wasn't roasted, much less stretched and crushed into nothing at the black hole's event horizon.
No battle leaves a scarless soul, though. On the day side of the world, there is an unusual gravitational paradox where the mountains- torn between their home and the endless black above- hover in the air, suspended on nothing but electromagnetic force. Anything living here must be extremely hardy, and have the strongest will to survive...
