CyberFluid
It started out as a young scientist's thesis project. A swarm of nanobots could change the structure of any molecule that it came across based on a template delivered by wifi. As simple as it was, the implications were astronomical. With this knowledge, diseases could be vanquished instantly. Buildings could be built and destroyed in a matter of hours. New elements could be created, preserved, and harnessed without any problems. It was the key to mankind's future.
Then a virus infected the software.
It could not be controlled anymore.
It could not be stopped...
