Ostean Thordok
The world of Permian-Triassic Archosaurs is much bigger than we previously thought.
Here, we have some form of armored proto-crocodilian. Adapted to life in the vast deserts of Pangea (as most Thordoks are), this one appears to have evolved from a root species of the marshlands, having almost no camouflage in this harsh environment. While its thick hide and bony plates helped it defend itself against top predators, it is the only predator here. With all of the dying plant life, most of the prey has either migrated or died off. However, the plating shows that this beast is both determined and hardy. It won't go down without a fight. Only time will stop it from reaching food, and it has plenty of that.
