Dragon Slayer 3000

If it looks like my pictures are getting progressively darker, then they probably are.
Last year was a year full of cross-genre stories. Cowboys and Aliens, Pirates and Zombies, Lizards and bandits. I was thinking, hey, why not robots and dragons?
So, here is a concept I drew a few months back and re-finalized last night. It shows one lone android, one of many tribes scattered across the world Broken, pitched in a head-to-head combat against the main terrors of the wastes. No creature too special; just your average, Phantom-class Earthen Dragon. You may be asking yourself, why would he be out here fighting a titanic demon of darkness with only a hammer? It's a specific rite of passage that they must go through if they want to be recognized as a citizen of their tribe.
