The Rogue Ceilant
This creature technically isn't one, but a vast colony. A sort of biological nanobot, the ceilant is an array of single-celled organisms able to repurpose their DNA to suit the needs of a situation. While the applications were endless and beneficial, developers foresaw the dangers of it as well- one faulty gene and a monster could be loose with no way to stop it. The safest solution would be to start production on a HALO (High Altitude Low Orbit) lab. Billions of dollars were spent making sure that nothing bad could happen if the Ceilant got loose.
Then the cielant got loose.
And everything bad happened.
...and, before you ask, I am drawing one of these per day. It's just difficult with school and such to get them scanned, edited, and posted every single day.
