This is all it takes to turn the lush Northwest of North America into an unforgiving wasteland. The faster the eruption, the more force is put behind its pyroclastic flow, so the more widespread the damage will be. The cloud of ash will be pushed higher and farther, putting at least a portion of the Northern Hemisphere under nuclear winter.
Mind you, we won't be dead for this. Just miserable and hiding in our bunkers.
Plus, we get to go magma surfing on the remains.
