It's one of the natives! Of course, he seems to have had a little dispute with one of the giant scorpions. Of course, something that big and that active really is impossible to not have a dispute with. They have very poor eyesight and a strategy cortex the size of a pea, and will attack anything that is unlucky enough to be within ten feet of it. Once again, this leads to another problem as its in the pitch-darkness of a cave.
That's probably what happened to this little Kyron. All he was doing was foraging. All he did was step in the wrong direction.
All that did was plunge him into his nightmares.
