EXSULOSAURUS- Jurassic Park IV concept
A month or two ago, film director Joe Johnston officially announced that a "Jurassic Park IV" movie was in progress. He either knew nothing of the plot or was being very secretive about it, but all he said was that "it's going to be like nothing you've ever seen." Well, Joe, for your consideration for the next plot line, I give you...
EXSULOSAURUS!
The name means "exiled lizard," and it is, in fact, not based on any fossil finds. See, I was thinking that the next movie (or so) could be about simple mistakes in InGen's past. Genetic engineering is hard to get right, especially when dealing with 100-million-year-old data. Every now and then, several 'glitches' would appear in the code. DNA would be mixed, damaged, or mutated. The results were creatures entirely unlike anything anybody had ever seen. However, since Hammond wanted dinosaurs in his park instead of random monstrosities, he ordered them to be destroyed. Some of the scientists just couldn't handle it, so they put them into cryogenic hibernation for further studies. After InGen went bankrupt, the facilities were abandoned, as well as the frozen dinosaurs. Now, they have developed, bred, and formed species that could even challenge the dinosaurs on all the islands.
Take Esxulosaurus for example. It is slightly taller than Velociraptor, (which, in fact, is actually based off of Deinonychus) much more heavily built, and several times faster and more agile. It is even smart enough to hunt in packs, which means that it could even hinder the mighty Tyrannosaurus.
The more I think about it, the more I realize how much somebody could build off of this...
