Creature Cabal Results- CYBERRAPTOR

Well, another Cabal has come and gone. This year, we were a little disappointed by the small number of votes, but we suppose that's our fault for not posting as often as we should have. The winner was the piece Styxys- which was admittedly very fun to make. Expect a short film involving it as the antagonist in exactly one year's time.

Now, we can explain the delays from two main reasons-

1. When we said that "Bogeyman" was our most complex short film to date, we meant it. we've been animating and rendering almost non-stop here at Th'Den Wheja. Fortunately, if everything goes well, we can expect a release next Friday, November 13...

I was recently tasked with making a puppet of sorts for my local church's Halloween Party. The skull is made of cardboard cut and folded with an exact-o knife, while the soft spots are made from plastic garbage bag material. The whole thing was glued to a PVC pipe with a control string run through to move the mouth. It was then sprayed with a coat of black aerosol paint, with acryllics used for details like the eyes, teeth, and scales.
It was the first time I really tried something like this. Now that I know I can do it, you can probably expect more puppets...
