Troodon formosus


Maybe all of my efforts to paint dinosaurs with some class and philosophy would make more sense if dinosaurs were already seen with class and philosophy. That's something I definitely should put some more effort towards.
On an unrelated note, this is the first painting rendered on the new computer! Hurrah!

(EDIT: After doing my research, I have discovered that the source image (seen here) is, in fact, a Dromaeosaurus skeleton mounted at the Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology in Alberta, Canada. I suppose it looks enough like a Troodon if you squint your eyes a bit, but I'd like to establish that there is, in fact, a difference between the two.)
