The Flying Scorpioc
I'm really disappointed in myself that I didn't post this earlier.
This is, in fact, a scan of a painting I made in high school (give or take a few digital edits.) Before I knew everything I know now about biology and artistic theory, I came up with this. It was a species of legendary flying monsters, whose wings stirred the winds, and their fiery breath struck the earth as lightning. Most sorcerers couldn't dream of taking down a monster such as this.
It seems a bit silly now, but I still like the idea behind it, and figure it's at least worth a redesign.
Rendered in watercolor, edited in Photoshop.
