Dino Da Vinci

Sorry about the longer wait this time. It's inexcusable that I haven't posted in this time... or that I haven't posted this pic yet. Really, it's six or seven months old now.
This one came about when I realized that dinosaurs haven't established themselves as a motif in culture. Most animals, when used in fiction, have a symbolism that is almost universal. Snakes are liars, foxes are clever, owls are wise or mystic. Heck, even legendary creatures have their place. Dragons, whenever told in a story, normally were on piles of gold. This was because they represented greed or envy, and how much they could destroy a race or person.
Now, ask yourself: what do dinosaurs mean in popular culture?
That's right, they're only seen as discount monsters. The only story that really tried to give them their place was "Jurassic Park", where they took the role of mankind's arrogance and the dangers of irresponsible science. It works, but most subject matters can take up more than one role given to them. That's what this was supposed to do- try and give them more castes in art and media.
