Part II: the Fall

Second piece in an original series.

Then came the fall. No one could explain it. It could not be comprehended. Without warning or purpose, a destructive temporal calamity came over the race of the world. With the voracity of a tempest, it swept over this world and claimed the lives of almost every native creature. It all seemed through. The race on their planet was exterminated.

However, the race survived in the world of New Eden. The "real" world that these inhabitants knew was almost destroyed, but the didgital space remained practically unscathed. In this new world, the race was able to cling on in survival. However, they lost their way back to reality and, with it, their one way to everthing they knew.

They were now trapped in a boundless prison. Lifeless. Lightless. Barely a world. Restricted by the walls of data, all they could do was survive, maybe find a way back....
