Age of Choice

Do you see it?
That little blue speck in the corner of the sky?
A grain of dust around what looks like another average spot in the night?
It can see you in its own heavens at night.
It's full of life.
But this life is in danger.
Even now, entropy gathers around it- a miasma of chaos, ignorance, and despair ready to plummet the planet and all life on it into oblivion. It doesn't matter how this force got there, only that, if it succeeds, all this speck will be is a speck: a lonely dot drifting through the cosmic void without any significance.
What can save this dot?
It must come to life.
It must reach towards the heavens it dreams of.
A grain of dust is only dust if it doesn't decide to be anything more than it is.
Even if it only holds its corner of the universe,
It must learn to see.
