Wheja's Sketchbook- 6-23-2013

In case you're interested, I'm trying again to post at least one image every day. To speed up the process, some of these are just scans of sketchbook entries.
For example, here is a finalized concept of what I call the Obsidian Blade. (No, I'm too broke to play Minecraft, but I used to play it before the free version was busted. It doesn't matter, mostly because this has nothing to do with that game as much as it does with my own personal "WhejaVerse".)  With an edge made of pure volcanic crystal, a hilt of dragon's tooth, and an emblem of power on its balance, It is one of the most  finely-crafted swords in existence.
Which hero would be worthy enough to hold this mighty weapon?
