the Dawn of Life

3.5 Billion Years ago
Earth

The world as we know it is a barren wasteland riddled with volcanoes and magma fields. Water is common, but the process is slow. Life has not generated on this planet. Odds are, it may never do so. However, for the past ten million years, the planet has been battered with asteroids and comets- sources of volitile water. One of them has eerie crystals of ice growing out of it. Inside of these, small microorganisms are hibernating, waiting for their oppurtunity to populate a world.
As this asteroid enters the Earth's gravitational field, the first living things start to arouse. Their time has come. Splashdown happens over a deep trench rich with volcanic material. Perfect. Exogenesis has initiated.
Life has begun.
